The Lunar New Year is a time for celebration and what better way to start the year off with some fun breathing exercises for kids? Whether you're celebrating the Year of the Rabbit or the Year of the Cat, these two breathing exercises are sure to help your little ones find calm, boost their energy, and relieve tension in their bodies.
š° Rabbit/bunny breathing
This exercise involves taking quick, short breaths in through the nose like you're sniffing a carrot and exhale. As you breathe in, imagine yourself gathering up all the energy and excitement of the new year, and as you breathe out, imagine yourself releasing any stress or tension. Try hopping around like a bunny!
š± Cat breathing
Start with your hands and knees on the floor. Inhale, imagine stretching your spine like a cat arching its back. Then exhale slowly,Ā and release any tension! Let out a little meow!
So why not give them a try with your little ones and see how they feel?
